We look forward to your visit to our VA bed and breakfast, where guest enjoy walking trails, a stocked fishing pond, a fire-pit, unbelievable trees, A hidden Hammock, wildflowers and wild life. We recommend that you bring walking shoes so that you can enjoy the trails. Our wildflower meadows are home to a large family of deer, fox, rabbits, birds, butterflies, skunks and we even saw a black bear once.
During the first weeks of May, lucky guests will discover newly sprouted wild asparagus shoots. During June and July our walking trails are lined with wild blackberries, wine berries and black raspberries. These often make an appearance at the breakfast table, but you are welcome to help yourself along the trail. This is a great family friendly activity, kids love collecting the berries and then eating them on their pancakes.
We don’t use any pesticides or spray, you can eat them right of the bush. As a Virginia Green Lodging we are committed to providing a natural environment for both our guests and resident wild life.
Take a stroll on our 28 acres. You will find many secluded spots to stop and enjoy nature. Because we are small and only open to our guests, you will discover a paradise of privacy.
We are just a short walk to historic downtown Orange. It is only a two block walk to Main street, where you will find restaurants, antiques, shopping, museums, art gallaries and the leisurley pace of a small town.
